– Robert Greer

Decades of Trial & Litigation Experience

Over the course of my career, I have taken nearly 100 cases to verdict before juries across four states and multiple Arizona counties, including cases throughout Maricopa County. These matters have involved a wide range of complex issues, including:

  • Product liability and defective products
  • Premises liability claims
  • Dram shop liability
  • Fire and explosion incidents
  • Insurance coverage and bad faith disputes
  • Aviation-related accidents, including helicopter and airplane crashes
  • Claims involving commercial airliners
  • Lawsuits against governmental entities
  • Motor vehicle cases involving cars, trucks, and taxis

While my trial experience is extensive, it represents only a small portion of my overall work. The vast majority of cases—well over 99%—have been resolved through negotiation, giving me a practical understanding of what it takes to reach meaningful settlements.

A Balanced Perspective That Benefits Mediation

With more than 40 years of experience in tort law, I have represented both plaintiffs and defendants. For much of my career, my work leaned heavily toward defense, but in more recent years, I have primarily represented plaintiffs.

This shift has provided a well-rounded perspective that is particularly valuable during mediation. I understand how both sides evaluate risk, approach settlement, and make decisions—allowing me to guide discussions more effectively toward resolution.

I was certified by the State Bar of Arizona as a specialist in Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Litigation in 1992 and remain committed to maintaining a high level of professional excellence. I am also an Associate Member of the American Board of Trial Advocacy and have participated in advanced legal training through organizations such as DRI and AAJ.

In addition, I have served for many years as a judge pro tem in Maricopa County, conducting settlement conferences and helping parties resolve disputes. This experience directly informs my approach to mediation in Mesa and throughout the Valley.

Mediation Throughout Arizona

If you are looking for a mediator in Arizona, my goal is to provide a straightforward, efficient process that helps move cases toward resolution without unnecessary delays.

I routinely work with attorneys and clients across the state, as well as East Valley communities like Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, and Tempe. Familiarity with the local courts, legal procedures, and case dynamics in Maricopa County allows me to anticipate challenges and help parties find common ground more effectively.

My approach to mediation is focused on:

  • Keeping discussions productive and solution-oriented
  • Identifying key issues early
  • Encouraging realistic expectations
  • Helping both sides reach practical, fair outcomes

Appellate Work Reflecting Broad Legal Experience

My experience also includes briefing and arguing appeals in a wide range of cases, including:
